Submotion Orchestra

Combining elements of soul, ambient, jazz and dub, the Submotion Orchestra began as an experimental project in response to an Arts Council commission for a live dubstep performance in Yorkminster Cathedral. This hypnotic treatment is not to be missed and has the likes of Gilles Peterson extolling it’s sound.

They stormed the festival circuit in 2010, performing at The Big Chill, Latitude, Outlook, Bestival and in 2011 released their debut “Finest Hour” to rave reviews. Not surprising, considering the pedigree of the Orchestra’s musicians: several are alumni of the Leeds’ College of Music and all performed for years in other complex projects.

Simply put, this is not dubstep to be taken lightly. Welcome back to Soundwave!
