“Some times music is just supposed to be fun. Since they started a year ago, as a fully improvisational band with a loose approach to membership, The Mind on Fire Band has always put a major emphasis on making music that’s good to party to. During this time, the band has evolved into eight core members and the jams have turned into more structured songs. Rhythm section propelled grooves jump genre left, right and centre; distilling music back to what it was created for in the first place- making people shut the fuck up and dance.
The MoF band is the newest part of a collective that’s been making its presence felt across the Manchester for the past half decade. Cross pollination and eclectic sonic pallets have always be a couple of the crew’s main strengths, so it was probably inevitable that, sooner or later, members of various bands involved would get together to make up a “house band” for Mind on Fire nights…”
