One of the founding fathers of the Los Angeles beats movement, Kutmah rose to prominence as a talented DJ and underground artist in California after moving to the United States when he was 12. He became an intrinsic part of the dublab web-radio collective, and hosted the “Sketchbook” club gatherings – featuring the earliest efforts of Flying Lotus, The Gaslamp Killer and Ras G.
After a period of difficulty which saw him deported from the United States after spending several months in incarceration due to visa complications, Kutmah resides in the UK and has toured Europe, playing shows with his low end brethren. He has also developed a visual art exhibition based on artwork created during his imprisonment. The showcase will have stops in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
Experience Kutmah and the passion that helped foster the sharpest electronic music movement in recent years.
