Jon Kraus is a DJ / Music Lover living in Manchester.
Growing up his two biggest influences were skateboards & older kids with big record collections, meaning a steady diet of Hip Hop, Reggae, Punk Rock and a variety of other outsider music, art & books which would have a significant effect on things to come.
From 2000 – 09 Jon was an integral part of Fat City Records, working in the shop, designing sleeves for Fat City Recordings (among other labels) and being resident DJ at their Friends & Family event (alongside Kwinzola since 2006).
Before that Jon was one of a four-strong team that created the Eyes Down club night (alongside fellow DJ Kelvin Brown). Their uncompromising music policy and strong visual identity earned the collective various awards and a monthly residency at the Legendary Balance event at Plastic People in London.
Jon has shared the bill with with some of the finest DJ’s & Live acts – from Pioneers like Tony Allen & Steve Reid to Underground Legends such as Moodymann, Madlib, GhostFace Killah and Kode9 to name but a few, in addition to playing many different styles of music all over the UK, Europe and the U.S.
