Eric Lau is a London-based producer, known for his work with an array of international artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Chris ‘Daddy’ Dave, Oddisee, Muhsinah, Kaidi Tatham, Olivier Daysoul, and a family of artists from London including Dego, Floating Points, Finn Peters, Tawiah, Rahel, Fatima, Szjerdene, and several others. In addition to Lau’s production’s work he is also a well respected DJ having toured in different parts of the world as well as supporting acts such as Erykah Badu, Questlove, Robert Glasper to name a few.
Lau’s debut album New Territories, released through Ubiquity Records to great critical acclaim was nominated as one of Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Top Albums of the Year 2008. 2010 saw the release of Makin’ Sound, and one of his proudest recent achievements, the single Eric Lau & Friends “See and Under Standing”, raised a substantial sum for Save The Children, followed by 2011’s LP Makin’ Sound and another instrumental offering called Quadrivium. Lau’s The Mission E.P recorded with one of Detroit’s finest Guilty Simpson was released 3rd February 2012.
