One of Q Magazine’s “Ten DJs To See Before You Die”, DJ Yoda’s playful mixing has earned accolades over the years. He was among the first to pioneer the bootleg-“cut-up” style that helped define today’s remix culture, assimilating elements of Reggae, Kuduro, Funk, Drum’n'Bass, Big Band Swing, Country & Western and film into his sound.
Yoda’s inimitable style and talent are unquestionable: career highlights include winning the Contemporary Classical Album of 2009 at the Independent Music Awards for the Heritage Orchestra feat DJ Yoda’s G. Prokofiev Concerto For Turntables & Orchestra, producing an hour-long music documentary for BBC Radio 1’s 40th birthday and performing with the likes of Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Fatboy Slim and Lily Allen.
