BRIDGETTE AMOFAH

Bridgette Amofah, is one of the most exciting and original new artists to emerge in the music scene today. Influenced and inspired by such diverse names such as Minnie Ripperton, Feist, The Beatles and Burt Bacharach, you can hear the elements of folk, indie, soul and pop weave in and out of her unique songwriting and stand out voice.

Following her completion of a degree in music, the last couple of years has seen Bridgette touring, performing and writing with with Oi Va Voi (stepping in to the shoes of KT Tunstall as the bands lead singer). This has taken her across the globe from New York to Moscow, playing to audiences of 20,000 people, rocking sell-out shows at The Scala and Camden’s KOKO, as well as key radio performances on Jonathan Ross’s BBC Radio 2 show and Jon Kennedy (XFM) to name a few.

2007 saw Bridgette working with the legendary French artist Sebastien Tellier, cult indie band The Earlies and in demand producer Dan Carey. She also features on two tracks from the Part Time Heroes debut album released mid 2008.

Her style and demeanor is elegant yet grounded in the daily grind, dry as a sloe gin; a quintessential British eccentric. She was recently featured in The Times as a voice to listen out for in 2008, we have been listening and think that its about time you did too.
