Funked-out, soulful golden-era hip hop with a new school edge, the ASMsound gained international recognition over the last 2 years throughtheir collaborative singles with French producer Wax Tailor:’POSITIVELY INCLINED’ & ‘SAY YES’, which appeared on the albums ‘Hope& Sorrow’ and ‘In The Mood For Life.’ The record sales of these albumshave exceded 100,000 copies and their track ‘Positively Inclined’ wasgiven extensive rotation on continental MTV and appeared on thesoundtrack for the game NBA live ‘09. ASM have toured extensively inover 10 European countries over the last 2 years including sold outshows at l’Olympa in Paris, Garorock Festival, Armada Rouen, Hip HopKemp Festival, and a recent performance on TARATATA on French publicTV station France 2.

2010 sees the long-anticipated release of ASM’s debut album “PlatypusFunk.” The features list reads as a testament to the inspirations andcompanions that have encountered the ASM Platypi on their path. Theyinclude Sadat X (Brand Nubian), Wildchild (Stones Throw), Wax Tailor(Atmospheriques), Dj Vadim (BBE Music), kidkanevil (Firstword), Bonobo(Tru-Thoughts) and Mr Mattic (Wax Tailor crew).
