Multi-instrumentalist Anchorsong has been picking up steam in the past year, having released his European debut “Chapters” in late 2011 after spellbinding performances at prestigious venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Roundhouse and sessions at the BBC Studio in London.
His performances centre around the on-the-fly creation of his songs using an MPC2500 and a keyboard, right in front of the audience. This setup is often augmented with a string quartet, bringing the vibrant energy, warmth and sense of occasion to the electronic performance.
Anchorsong shows have been likened to “watching a painter drawing on a white canvas” as he combines the various components of his songs layer by layer to mesmerising climax.
This is truly an artist on the rise and we are pleased to welcome him back to Soundwave!
